Jonas Ministries and 2009

December 29th, 2008

Are you ready for 2009?  Jonas Clark Ministries is absolutely ready for a new year.  We are exciting about our goals and plans for next year.  One of the most exciting avenues we will venture into will be selling and giving away gift baskets.  Our new facility will render us a place where we can assemble gifts and give them away to the needy.

We will also sell them to anyone whose interested in buying them, as a gift for someone.

We will also continue to reward all of volunteers, who remain committed to their volunterring roles throughout the new year.  We have 3 more huge projects we launching, one of them being prison ministry, and we will need lots of more volunteers for those projects.

Our paid staff will also benefit from wholesale gift basket prices, throughtout the year.

Anyways, giddy up for 2009.  It’s going to be a big year for our ministry.

Our ministry is providing gifts during Christmas and after.

December 18th, 2008

Jonas Clark Ministries has always been about giving.  We know that during these times of job loss and a bad economy, so many people are looking for food and gifts for their kids and loved ones.

Our food, clothes and gift drive went phenominal.  The people were overwhelmed with excitement and joy.  Can you imagine receiving and unexpected Christmas dinner, at your door?

We had 27 volunteers to help us distribute all of the food and clothes.  We had 15 kids and teenagers distribute lots of toys and gifts.  The atmosphere was mind boggling, because allot of people were blessed, in many different aspects.  Even our volunteers were blessed.

So, after our successful food and gift drive, we’ve decided to make Jonas Clark ministries a full service gifting ministry that focuses on giving unique gift baskets to the needy.  Hurrah!!!!!

Jonas Clark Ministries will be hosting a food drive for Christmas and also giving away lots of gifts.

December 16th, 2008

This season of joy and gift giving, we are thinking of our family, friends, colleagues and relatives and loved ones. But we should also think of other people we do not know who needs our love and concern, like street people, orphaned or abandoned children, prisoners or even stray dogs or cats!

The Jonas Clark Ministries will be hosting a food drive for Christmas and also giving away lots of gifts. This will be the time that the real spirit of Christmas is felt, that is by giving a part of your time and giving some people gifts. The food drive will benefit many if people will participate. All in the spirit of love, we act as givers and this will benefit not only other peoples heart but our own spirit as well.

Have fun and enjoy the season. Give various gift baskets, participate in food drives, and be spontaneous. Nothing beats this season if people experience the true joy of gift giving. From birthday parties and weddings to retirement sendoffs and trendy holiday soirees, people wanted to give a memorable gift. What more is best than by giving a part of your time and dedication? Give something unique and personal like great recipe books in the food drive, or cook a great meal for the group as your gift. It is truly in your heart that you will find the true joy of gift giving.

Mumbai Saturday Assault

December 7th, 2008

Mumbai was attacked by terrorist on November 26, 2008 and resulted in the killings of 179 people, 22 of them were foreigners and at least 300 hurt. The Deccan Mujahideen sent an email claiming responsibility for the attack.

On Saturday morning, it was declared that gunmen were out of Taj Mahal Palace Hotel which was one of the locations attacked. There were “leftover” bombs found at Mumbai train station which was also one of the first site to be attacked.

There were Jewish families held hostage at Nariman House located in the center of Mumbai’s Orthodox Jewish community and a pump was blown up in Colaba which belongs to PB Petrol. A shootout with the police resulted in the killing of 9 men

The tactical attack believed to have started thru the waterfront near the two hotels and progressed with the assault at the Cafe Leopold followed by a man firing in the Taj Mahal Palace hotel lobby. There was also an open fire reportedly by a gunman at a central station. Later, there were more open fire in multi sites throughout the city in a popular restaurant, other luxury hotels and in some crowded train stations.

There were warnings of another attack but a week passed and nothing happened so Mumbai is now more relaxed.

Terrorist attacks are becoming way to normal.  God is not pleased.
